Description:
*
The Client Technologies
Architect* will be part of an innovative solutions team
providing traditional client management services using SCCM and
expanding into client virtualization with the use of App-V. This
enterprise opportunity presents an environment of tens of thousands
of endpoints across multiple internal companies and Active
Directory domains, using advanced technologies such as SCCM OSD,
SCUP, software packaging and distribution, software updates, SW
& HW inventory in support of internal team requirements, feeds
to SQL Services Reporting Services and to IT Asset Management
systems. This role also will provide 3rd level support
to the desktop environment and support Group Policy Objects for
users and workstations.

The Client Technologies Architect
responsibilities include:

• Manage and
  administer Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager in support
  of patching, automated software deployment, remote control,
  imaging, inventory and reporting
  


• Produce
  custom reports using SQL Reporting Services
  


• Package
  applications for deployment using Wise Studio and other scripting
  technologies
  


• Produce
  images for automated deployment using MDT and
  SCCM
  


• Create and
  modify Group Policy Objects in support of workstations and
  users
  


• Provide
  3rd level support to Client Technologies
  Technicians
  


• Set,
  maintain and document workstation hardware, operating system,
  browser and personal productivity software
  standards
  


• Research,
  analyze and test new technologies in the client workstation
  environment
  


• Train 1st
  and 2nd level support staff on use of tools, processes and
  standards established
  


• Ensure all
  changes go through the approved change management
  process
  


• Lead small
  projects related to the responsibilities
  above
  

Work Experience
Required:
Knowledge of or experience with at
least 4 of the below 8:

1. A client management tool such as
SCCM, SMS, Altiris or BigFix
2. Packaging applications for
automated delivery
3. Automated patching in a diverse
geographical and functional environment to include
*** manufacturing,
research and administrative locations
4. Providing 3rd level workstation
support
5. Administering Group
Policy
6. Microsoft Office Suite
7.Providing support in a multi
forest/multi domain Active Directory environment
8. Operating System image creation and
automated delivery of image

Work Experience
Preferred:

• VB
  scripting
  


• Understanding of Active Directory schemas, sites and
  services and trusts

Education
Required:
Associates degree in Computer
Science/related field or equivalent experience
