Role Overview

The Professional Services Consultant would be a key contributor in providing post-sales product delivery, which includes installation; integration; configuration; and training for broadband control products at Amdocs customer sites.

Responsibilities
¿ Install AMDOCS products at customer sites and remotely
¿ Integrate products with 3rd party network elements, provisioning systems, and billing systems
¿ Create and deliver hands-on technical training, and make formal technical product presentations to customers
¿ Upgrade existing products at customer sites and remotely
¿ Architect, manage, and implement complex post-sale technical deployments
¿ Review new products and determine best practices for deployment
Requirements
¿ University degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or relevant work experience)
¿ Minimum of 7 years experience in the software, internet, or data communications industry
¿ Understanding of IP technologies (RADIUS, DIAMETER, LDAP, SSL, EAP, SNMP, DHCP, VoIP, XML, HTTP, etc..)
¿ Understanding of wireless and wireline technologies (LTE, CDMA, EVDO, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, DSL, WiMAX, Cable, WiFi, Mobile IP, etc..)
¿ Strong hands-on Unix experience (Solaris and Redhat experience preferred)
¿ Solid understanding of IP networking, and how to troubleshoot issues at the LAN, WAN, and packet level debugging.
¿ Scripting and integration experience using shell and/or perl
Preferences
¿ Experience in writing, testing, and executing method of procedure (MOP) documents
¿ Practical experience using network equipment such as deep packet inspectors, load balancers, firewalls, routers, switches, PDSNs, GGSNs, ASNGWs, EUTRAN etc.
¿ Relational database experience would be a strong asset, preferably with Oracle
¿ Design experience would be an asset (C, C++, Java, PL-SQL, Unix scripting, etc.)
¿ Experience in the provisioning, billing, or prepaid data domains
