Randstad is currently working with an organization in the Kansas City, KS area in its effort to locate a qualified Forklift Operator!

The forklift operator will perform the following duties, functions and responsiblities:  Essential Qualifications:   High School Diploma  Licensed Forklift Operator in Pro-pane Counterbalance and Pro-pane Exchange  Health and Safety Awareness  Experience within a Warehouse/Distribution Environment  Licensed Forklift Operator with reputable education in forklift Operation  Knowledge of safety practices necessary to perform preoperational inspections of lift trucks  Knowledge of the purpose and function of all components, devices and accessories commonly employed on lift trucks and how to carry out an inspection to determine if they are functioning properly  Familiar with legislation (including duties, right and penalties), regulations, codes and standards and guidelines applicable to the operation of lift trucks and training  Educated in Health and Safety in a Warehouse Environment  Ability to work under time constraints while still recognizing the importance of inventory accuracy  Ability to be flexible with work schedule  Self Motivated  Ability to communicate with Team Leaders and Supervisors  Ability to physically lift 50lbs  Ability to read understand sku’s and product  Ability to work in other departments when required  Willingness to be cross trained  Strong customer service orientation      RequirementsDuties, Functions and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and functions may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.   Perform and document daily pre-shift inspections on Material Handling Equipment prior to beginning shift  Prioritize Work load  Communicate with Appointment Clerk regarding in-bound shipments  Un-loading of full pallets from in-bound shipments  Duties, Functions and Responsibilities cont’d   Sortation and bulk stacking of pallets to store zone  Bad pallet replacement when required  Maintain a Level of Service within a 2 hour turn around  Ensure cleanliness of work area is maintained  Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met  Cross training as required
