Revenue Specialist - Rating at Overland Park

A Kforce client is seeking a Revenue Specialist in Overland Park, Kansas (KS).

Roles:

• Apply accurate charges to all freight bills in a timely manner. Utilize knowledge of tariffs and freight classifications to verify pricing applications


• Classify freight, verify pricing application, assess accessorial charges, and ensure proper division of revenue on interlines shipments


• Process bill change requests in accordance with guidelines


• Provide support for priority requests


• Develop an understanding of the interpretation and application of various tariffs and various publications to determine the correct method of applying freight charges


• Review audit corrections and resolve discrepancies


• Identify system errors and review work procedures for improvement

Skills:

• Knowledge of National Master Freight Classification and tariff publications


• Ability to assess situation and make good decisions quickly


• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills


• Experience in computer applications; type 35 words per minute


• High School graduate or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• College coursework in business, transportation, or computer sciences


• Two years experience in rating within the Transportation Industry


• PC experience


• One year of rating experience in the Transportation Industry
