CNC Machinist, Associate at Wichita

Sets up and operates a variety of machines, such as 4 axis, 5 axis and T-2s to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Two (2) positions are for the weekend day shift, which is Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work 36 and be paid for 40 hours, plus shift differential.

Job Requirements:

Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and use blueprints, routings,and process drawings.
Must have basic mathematics.
Must have the ability to use and read precision measuring equipment.
Must be able to perform routine maintenance on machines.
Must be able to take the initiative, judgement, and analytial ability to resolve a variety of production problems.
