LTE Core Development Engineer at Overland Park

  • Contract position for an LTE Core Development engineer to provide expertise on one or more of the following areas: Element design/development - SGW, PGW, and MME.
  • Provide design integration with LTE RAN, eHRPD Core, IP Data Core, and Service Layer networks.
  • Define and develop LTE EPC topography. Develop Core Development Lab test strategy, schedule, and test cases, plan for testing.
  • Develop Network Readiness Test test strategy, schedule, and test cases, plan for testing prior to Field introduction.
  • Develop LTE Core capacity plans, roadmaps, and scalability designs.
  • Capacity engineering support through characterizing the specific hardware and software impacts based on factors such as wireless forecast, call modeling, and actual usage information.
  • Design and development ownership of LTE EPC Element Management Systems.
  • Provide Core design support for IT requirements, systems, and related products/services.
  • Development support for Core OMs, Alarms, and NRM requirements.
  • Coordinating Testing OSS, BSS and provisioning interfaces.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience with a telecommunications equipment vendor or service provider.
  • Expertise in LTE standards and technology and OEM network elements, especially with core network products such as SGW, PGW, and MME Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge in IP routing protocols.
  • Alcatel-Lucent Service Routing Certification (3RP/SRA), Cisco Certification (CCIP/CCIE), and/or Juniper Certification (JNCIP/JNCIE) desirable.
Salary is $40-55/hour depending on experience
