Valeo has an opening for a full time Health Information Management Clerk I. This position is responsible for overall management of client records for all outpatient programs. General duties include but are not limited to the following: assisting with the overall management of release of information requests, perform data entry relating to various aspects of medical records, promote and initiate process improvements to ensure effective and efficient medical record processes, and perform scanning functions. High school education or GED equivalent. Medical office/medical records experience, accurate typing of 40 wpm, data entry skills and large filing system experience required. Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals and groups of people at all levels of employment. Initiative, good judgment, ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Thorough understanding of confidentiality standards and application of these standards. Physical requirements: must be able to reach, bend, squat and stand for long periods of time. Must be 18 years of age or older and be able to pass pre- employment background checks and SRS Adult/Child Abuse Registries.
